The presentation addresses the significance of dogs in human life and the utilization of technological alternatives for their traditional roles. It underscores human responsibility for preserving dog breeds, particularly their attributes for specific purposes linked to their physical appearance. The focus is on maintaining genetic qualities and preventing the loss of purpose-driven heritage.

The standard of the German Shepherd Dog is discussed, based on its versatility as a companion. It emphasizes that the characteristics, as described in the preamble, are more important than specific rules. Dog sports are cited as a means to promote and assess these attributes.

Harmony and collaboration between humans and dogs are highlighted as primary goals. The use of pressure in training, especially due to historical practices such as in the military, is deemed unacceptable and a public perception issue. Violence in training is seen as counterproductive to harmony, and it is noted that modern judges should be trained to recognize and incorporate body language into their assessments.

The importance of trainers recognizing and respecting the limits of dogs is emphasized. It is pointed out that a balanced standard for all-round dogs, which does not aim for exaggerated traits, is important, striking a good balance between different aspects.

The preamble and rules of IGP sports are discussed, particularly the understanding of TSB (drive, self-confidence, resilience). The significance of bite work and IGP sports in demonstrating pronounced social behavior and a solid genetic foundation is stressed. Tracking work is highlighted as an essential component for preserving working dog traits.
