Breed profile Bouvier – Kristin Oberhauser/DBC Germany

With a degree in biology, Kristin Oberhauser has been keeping dogs since 1991 and has been intensively involved in dog sports since 1995. She has been a trainer since 1996 and a VDH breeder since 2004. In 2006, she imported the first Bouvier des Ardennes to Germany and founded the Hasenhirsch kennel, the first outside the Franco-Belgian region. Since 2014, she has been competing nationally and internationally with the breed together with her husband and youngest son. Her breeding dogs Hasenhirsch Gretel and Hasenhirsch Gustl qualified for the VDH-D(J)M IGP between 2023 and 2025 through the German Bouvier Club. Their work and passion combines breeding, sport and unique expertise for the Bouvier des Ardennes breed.
